Some of the people prefer to get the cutest dogs that are available. They say that small breed dogs are beautiful to look at and are really cute. Well, they said it right. Small breed dogs possess the charm that big and medium dogs do not have.

Who are most likely to get these small breed dogs?

Children are the primary potential owners of small breed dogs. Because of the cute features of these small breed dogs, children are being enticed and are willing to own pets that are small in sizes. Aside from their cuteness, small breed dogs are less harmful for the children since they are just as small as the kids or even smaller. Parents are sure of their children’s safety and enjoyment as well.
Ladies also prefer to own small breed dogs. This is for the reason that they always think that small breed dogs are suitable for the ladies’ looks being feminine and cute. Normally, women just become interested on dogs if their sizes are small enough not to be scared of. Small breed dogs just suit for the demand of the ladies out there.

Although most men prefer the big dogs, there are also some of them who are interested on small breed dogs. They found it entertaining when they see the small breed dogs play around and make them enlightened with their sweet barks.

Are small breed dogs better?

In this instance, the smaller breed dogs will be considered better than the others depending on the owners. Owners who just get dogs for having fun and to relax, small breed dogs are the right kinds for them. In terms of expenses, small breed dogs will certainly consume lesser amount of money. But of course, it will depend on how the owners spend their money. Sometimes, to own small breed dogs can cost more expensive as having the big breed dogs or even just the medium sized dogs.

What are the advantages of having small breed dogs?

1. They are sweet in nature, they have softly-sounded barks which cannot disturb other people especially the owners’ neighbours.

2. Small breed dogs are safer to keep than those big and harmful dogs. They can mingle with the kids and the parents will no longer worry much for the children’s safety.

3. They are less costly in most cases. Their food will just cost lower than the foods of big dogs.

4. Small breed dogs cannot easily harm the owners’ visitors. They can be as hospitable as humans.

5. They can easily attract people’s attention making them loved easily by humans.

6. Small breed dogs can be carried anywhere because the owners can easily carry them since they just have light weights compared to the big breed dogs.

What are the things to be remembered when taking care of small breed dogs?

1. Just like any other dogs, small breed dogs must be regularly carried to veterinarians. This is important to avoid the small breed dogs to have rabies which is definitely dangerous and contagious.

2. Small breed dogs must be taken care just like any pets. Their hygiene must be properly observed. Small breed dogs must always be clean so that the children will not acquire any diseases from the small breed dogs. Remember that children love to hold small breed dogs and having these dogs dirty will greatly affect the children’s health.

3. The things that belong to the small breed dogs must be safely kept. Be sure that the people especially the children will not mistakenly take the things for the small breed dogs. It will be a great problem if this happens.

4. Small breed dogs must be fed with nutritious dog foods. If the owners want to the small breed dogs to live loners, definitely they will provide them with the necessary care and attention.

5. Love the small breed dogs just like how the owners’ love their children. This may help to the development of the attachment between the small breed dogs and their owners.

How much do small breed dogs cost?

The price of small breed dogs will always depend on the breed and size of the dogs. There are instances that the small breed dog is as expensive of a big breed dog because of the breed it possesses. This is because there are some small breed dogs that are too difficult to find and too challenging to be taken care of.

But the price will no longer be an important issue if the future owners of the small breed dogs are really dog lovers. In people like this, the dog becomes priceless because all that matters to them is the happiness that these small breed dogs can give them. They are just like their children that without them, life will not be complete.

Dogs are considered as man’s most loving best friends. They usually guard a house especially in night time and protect the family in the best way that they can. With these, dogs really proved to humanity that they can be trusted and deserve to be loved back by the people that they see as their family.

There are different kinds of dogs. They vary in sizes; there are large dogs and small dogs. They also differ because of their specific breeds. And when these two are combined, there will be a great difference between the large dog breeds or big dog breeds and the small dog breeds.

The large dog breeds or the big dog breeds are the dogs that have heights and weights that are extraordinarily far and greater with the ordinary- sized dogs. Large dog breeds can actually weigh over pounds and can stand in humans’ height. Unlike any other dogs, big dog breeds can grow faster. However, large dog breeds spend a longer time to mature.

As characterized, majority of the large dog breeds are calm and behave dogs when they become adults. There is also a need for lesser exercise as compared to the small dog breeds. Most of the humans prefer to have big dog breeds as their pets for protection purposes. This is for the reason that large dog breeds usually scare the people. These big dog breeds are stronger and more capable of guarding a home unlike to cute and little dogs that are mainly adapted for entertainment.

Large dog breeds usually live for about six to ten years, without suffering from diseases or involving in an accident. In this case, big dog breeds have relatively shorter lives unlike the smaller ones. But, surely, big dog breeds can make out of their lives by protecting their beloved owners.

There are also disadvantages in taking care of these large dog breeds. They need a full attention and instruction. As they scare most of the people, these large dog breeds can cause unintended accident to the owners’ visitors. The cost of their foods will also be a problem on the part of the owners. Big dog breeds usually need greater amount of energy sources which are mainly in the foods that they eat. Their loud and disturbing barks can irritate the owners’ neighbours. However, these disadvantages will just be a piece of scrap when compared to the benefits of having big dog breeds.

There are many kinds of large dog breeds. Here is a list of some big dog breeds that most of the people who are desire to own even one. Take a glance of the following:

These are some of the researched facts that are related to the topic about large dog breeds. Check these out!

 – The heaviest dog all over the world is named as Zorba. This large dog breed was owned by Chris Eraclides. They actually lived in London, England. Zorba was announced as the world’s heaviest big dog breed with a weight of above 343 pounds or 156 in kilograms. The dog had a height of 37 inches or 94 centimetres (standing) and 8 feet and 3 inches (from the nose tip to the tail). The dog was then 8 years old when the Guinness Book of World Records confirmed the truth.

 – While there is the heaviest dog, there is also the biggest among the big dog breeds. It is a Great Dane named Giant George. This large dog breed is considered as the tallest dog around the world. Giant George has been awarded as the world’s biggest on February, 2010. He was owned by David Nasser and having a height of 43 inches or 110 centimetres. Giant George and his owner, Mr. Nasser live in Tucson, Arizona.

Dogs are extraordinary creatures. They can scare people but they can be loved by most of the humans. They may not be as rational as people are but they know how to feel love and they also deserve to be loved in return. They are just like human; they are breathing and living their lives.

The most common problem caused by inadequate dog teeth cleaning is the appearance of teeth tartar. Experts advise that the teeth of your dog should be inspected at least once a month, and if they have yellow-brown deposit, your pet has tartar. How to remove it? Regular (at least three times a week) oral hygiene and tooth brushing your pet will do the job. This can be done independently by a dog toothbrush and toothpaste. In some cases it will be appropriate for a veterinarian to do it, using ultrasound. How to choose the right brush for your dog? As humans do, dogs can also choose between a wide range of brushes for pets. When selecting the right one keep in mind that brush must be firm and soft. I emphasize that human toothpaste is NOT intended for dogs. When buying toothpaste you sholud consider buying a flavor that dogs love. Those with a taste of chicken are common, and my dog loves it.

Here comes the hard part: how to make a dog, especially the one that hasn’t done it through its puppie days, start to brush their teeth. Start it with the game and first massage his gums with finger several times a day. Of course, it is understood that before that you wash your hands. When your dog gets accustomed to this new game (usually after two to three days) make a step further and put a little paste on a finger. Get him used to a new flavor. Only after he gets used to it start with brushing and gentle circular movements on the outer side of back teeth because it is the most vulnerable place. Always brush from the back forward. How long should teeth brushing last? At least 30 seconds.

The sooner you start brushing the easier your dog accepts this habit. It is best to do it while it's still a puppy. It is important to know not to try anything with speed and force, because you will achieve a counter-effect. The animal must see brushing as something pleasant. So after each dog teeth cleaning praise and reward him. Instead of the usual try to reward with special dental treats that you can buy at any zoo shop. In return you will get a scented kiss and healthier dog.

Why clean dog's teeth?

When chewing and mixing food with saliva there always remains some food in the dental interstices and along the edge of the gums. In the oral cavity the bacteria are present and are waiting for their moment to take action about the remaining food and eventually create plaque. This happens more often when the animals are given soft food, and there is no mechanical cleaning – dog teeth cleaning. Since animals do not carry out dental hygiene and don't brush their teeth, on the teeth begin to appear dark spots, at first blackish, later brown, yellow and lime. It is tartar (aggregate of calcium carbonate and organic matter) who can no longer be removed at home, but you sholud go to the vet to clean it with an ultrasound machine, and to polish the surface of the teeth.

Dental tartar can cause various problems such as gingivitis, gum recession, tooth infections, dental abscesses and infection of the mouth. All these changes and diseases lead to decreased appetite, smelly halitosis, scabs that cover the teeth, red and bleeding gums and pain when chewing.

Gingivitis is an inflammatory process caused by food, saliva, bacteria and other microorganisms in the oral cavity. The first sign is a red line between the edge of the gums and teeth that can bleed. Dogs and cats experience severe itching gums and rub the lips, nose and cheeks on the floor of the items or feet. In a later phase the pain increases, the animal is restless, whining, or mews, refusing food, halitosis appears. There may appear pimples on the lips and gums.

How to brush dog's teeth?
Begin with rubbing your finger several times a day gently around the gums. After a few days when the animal gets used to it put a tiny bit of toothpaste for dogs and cats on your finger. Again a few days after that try to use an appropriate sized brush. Brush particularly the outside of the back teeth with light circular. In fact it is liable area to collect plaque and tartar. Be gentle and patient, but persistent and you dictate the pace. If an animal learns that their behavior can reduce the time of cleaning the teeth it will become increasingly difficult and increasingly shorter rather than vice versa. Instead of brush or fingers in the period after and before the introduction of brush, you can use a piece of rolled gauze around your finger. Instead of toothpaste for pets, you can occasionally use baking soda. Try to make brushing your animal 's teeth become and remain a pleasant job. Praise and reward in the end. Play with your dog each time after completion of teeth cleaning. It will eventually connect the teeth cleanin with something pleasant, and it will really facilitate the hygiene of your pet dental cavity.

After a good meal, the dog can walk to the couch and ritually rub one, then another side of his face on a cloth. Others may spend their spare time chewing their nails or putting their clutch in the ears, and then lick them. These are all intelligent, self-taught techniques of grooming, but all are simple variations of the natural ways of grooming. All dogs use the standard methods of care of their skin: licking and biting, scratching and scraping, rolling and shaking. And they didn't go to any dog grooming school to know that!

Dog grooming
When you become an owner of a dog, you took responsibility for organizing and maintaining a clean and healthy coat. How much effort and work it takes, it depends on the breed you own and the activities in which your dog participates. Show dog will require much more care than the family pet, but all dogs require basic care of hair.
If you own a dog for shows, it would be helpful if you went on a dog grooming course or to a dog grooming school to learn the best tehniques of taking care for a show dog. Brushing and cutting the dogs hair is not only to maintain his hygiene, but also gives you the opportunity to deepen the relationship between you and your dog. It is not necessary to take the dog to a professional dog 'stylist' every time he needs brushing. With a little effort and after several attempts you will be able to groom your dog with your own hands and you will do it nicely and practically.

Grooming accessories
You can not adequately groom the dog if you do not have the necessary supplies. Below are several types of 'instruments' that we consider necessary and which will greatly facilitate the work.

Brushes and combs
Type and kind of brushes and combs depends on the breed of dog. To maintain the long-haired dog you should have rare and dense comb, which is used in every dog grooming school. Brush with dense metal quill is useful for grooming short hair in the back and on the legs. Brush that most resembles the human brush is also handy for combing the hair since it does not break the hairs. To take care of a short coat dog, dog glove is enough.

Nail clipper
The most common are two types of nail scissors: in the form of a 'guillotine' and ordinary scissors. These last sometimes crush and deform the nail, so on most dog grooming courses you are taught to use guillotine-scissors. There is also an electrical device for the removal of the nail, which leaves a smooth nail, but we assume that it is not first choice for the home collection, partly because of the cost, partly due to the fact that dogs do not like noise and vibration of the machine.

Shampoos and Conditioners
When you buy a shampoo, make sure you buy one specifically for dogs, because those have a higher pH than the shampoo for humans. Even a mild baby shampoo can dry dog's skin. You also need to know how quickly the shampoo foams and how easily it rinses. Dogs have a lot more 'hair' of people, so a quality dog shampoo should foam easily and rinse quickly and gently, because the remains of shampoo can cause itching and flaking of the skin in some dogs. For very sensitive dogs, there are special shampoos that contain ingredients of soap.

Scissors and trimmers
Don't be cheap with scissors. When properly used and maintained good scissors will last for years. Trimmers are like razor blades, and are commonly used for thining the hair and takin care of short coated dog breeds. If you own a Maltese, a Yorkshire Terrier or a Shih Tzu you will need special scissors with curved blades. There are scissors with blunt tips that are very useful for removing excess hair on the paw and between the pads.

Hair dryer
When we groom our long-haired breeds the use of a hair dryer is inevitable. It is recommended to use special hair dryers for dogs, because the human hair dryers generate excessive heat that can damage and dry out your pet's coat. Hair dryers for dogs are much less hot, they just blowing the water away. But if you're not willing to invest in special hair dryers for dogs, make sure you don't heat the same place for too long and not too close to the dog's skin. A dog can not say to you „Oh, it burns“, but he shows his discomfort by moving away or squirming.

Grooming table

This piece of equipment is an additional expense, but it's worth if you have an anxious dog or back pain. Dressing tables usually have a metal handle – a metal stick to tide the leash to, to prevent your dog to escape from the table during the 'treatment'. For dog owners who do not intend to spend much on equipment we recommend the they put the tub surface (the one with the tentacles) or something similar on the kitchen table (or some other large table), so if you do not have a 'wild' pet to be 'immobilized', the table will be ideally replace the grooming table.

Dog grooming Techniques
Now that you're already familiar with the products, it is time to learn how to use them, as they use them at dog grooming courses. Brushing and combing should be done before bathing because if your dog has a long-haired coat or outer coat and undercoat, all free and fallen hair when wet will get embroiled. Some suggest that the groomer should brush the hair before washing it and dry it with a hair dryer to get rid of dust that turns to mud when you get it wet. This technique can save you hours of brushing after washing.
Regular brushing of shorthaired breeds is very important because they are constantly losing hair throughout the year. Coarser groomer's washing glove is usually sufficient to remove all excess hair and prevent it from falling on furniture and clothing. Contrary to popular opinion, this type of hair is the most difficult to remove because it is drawn into clothes and you have to brush your dog once or twice a week. Rubber or plastic scratcher is great for removing hair, and also stimulates the skin. Start from the neck with light circular movements along it and to the hips and abdomen. For head and neck use a glove, and for the body use coarser short brush. All of this just mentioned is not applicable to poodles because they require expensive equipment and a lot more effort so if you want to do grooming for poodles you will need to set aside some larger sum of money.

Manually removing and pulling out hair
There is a big difference in grooming shorthaired breed depending on whether you're doing it for shows or just as a regular pet. If you intend to run with your pet in hows, according to some groomer you shouldn't cut his hair. Coat of dogs for show must be removed manually and twitched because they themselves do not shed. It can be very hard and can last long. Before pulling the hair you should rub the chalk in it (chalk type which is especially designed for professional groomers) to facilitate the firm „holding“ of the hair or prevent slippage of hair. Grasp a small amount of hair using thumb and forefinger and pull gently but firmly in the direction of the position of the hair.
For manually pulling you should have the trimmer but the technique is similar. Grasp the smaller part of the hair with a trimmer, set the thumb on the trimmer and pull the hair firmly. Turning or pulling the hair up will result in cracking of hair instead of pulling out the roots.

Depending on the climate where you live, breed and sex of your dog, whether it is long-haired breed or other breed with external coat and undercoat it can loose hair even several times a year. Oh yeah, I shouldn't forget this – if you are fond of your carpets and other furniture that captures hair it is recommended that this work gets done outside.
The secret in grooming long-haired breeds and breed with double coat is in meticulous grooming. Start from the back and divide your dog to pieces (only in your head, of course). First start with a brush with metal spikes and comb each section. If you apply a small amount of dog conditioner on the hair you will comb it much easier. If the dog's hair is tangled in some areas, apply the conditioner on those parts, and comb it with fine toothed comb. Some difficult parts you may need to cut. But if you brush your dog several times a week, the hair will not get tangled. Always make time for brushing the dog and do not forget treats (for the dog, of course)!

Bathing and drying hair
Bathing your dog is best done in the bathtub. Do not forget that it takes two times to shampoo your dog and two times to rinse it off. First shampooing does not clean the hair, but only moisturizes. Apply shampoo first in the back, rub it in, then head onto the stomach, legs and tail. Keep the shampoo away from the parts around the eyes and ears because they are sensitive to the shampoo. If the dog becomes really excited you can apply the shampoo onto 'critical' parts with an old toothbrush, which will be very useful for paw pads themselves. Before rinsing, remove the foam by hand and then rinse the shampoo. Verify that the hair in rinsed out well, until you see bubbles rinse. When washing the head, shut the dog's nostrils so water would not enter into the nose. Bathing can be a very pleasant experience if you prepare the dog properly and prepare all the necessary equipment close to you, so you don't have to leave the dog unattended. When you remove the dog from the tub put it on grooming table or other suitable table. When drying a dog follow the rules – for long hair keep hair dryer close to the skin, so you would avoid tampering hair. Dry dog also gives you a chance to check the dog parasites or some skin problems.

Haircut
Now that your dog is dry, it's time for a haircut. Hold gently the hair clipper, like a pencil. The most ideal would be an experienced groomer instructed you about the cutting techniques. Be careful so that you don't burn your dog, if the blade turns too hot. A professional groomer has a few hair clippers at hand, so when one overheats, he replaces it with another.

The difference between the novice and professional groomer is most evident in the hair cutting using scissors. A professional groomer literally 'shapes' the dog hair, as work of art. And if cutting with scissors, beginners should consult experienced groomer or breeder. When cutting with scissors, scissors hold in a way that it lies on your fingers. You can even practice on some wigs or a volunteer in the family to acquire the skills of basic techniques.

Dogs that are inside a house or an apartment must also have their place. The dog should not climb on your bed, unless it is very decent and respects you as a boss. Staying in your bed gives your dog a completely wrong idea about who is the boss in the house. You should not feel sorry for the dog, there are a number of comfortable and beautiful beds today that will satisfy your taste and your dog, and your wallet also.

One of the possibilities is the dog cage or create that can be used in various ways. At first it was designed for the transport of dogs on the plane, but today it is, regardless of whether it is made of wicker, metal or plastic, often used and is considered one of the best inventions that makes yours and your pet’s life easier. The cage is ideal for training a puppy in the house. The cage can also be used for breeding, if you intend to breed your female dog. With small changes, it can also serve as a dog kennel. If the dog is naughty, the cage will be a good place to put him to "cool off". If for any reason you do not want the dog to be temporarily around you , for example, you have a guest who is allergic to dogs or you have workers in the house that are constantly going in and out, then the cage is a real godsend.

The dog cages cage also excellently serves the purpose which is primarily intended for: pet transport. Free dog in the car can be a real temptation, and danger. Everybody is safer when the dog is in a cage. And speaking of safety, keep in mind that in the case of a collision a loose dog is the same as a man who was not tied with the eat belt. Some cages are so solid that it is no wonder if the dog is one of the few survivors of a plane crash. When traveling with your dog, put him in a cage. You will immediately be more liked by hotel owners because they would then be assured that the dog will be placed in a cage and will not nibble covers on the bed.

Dogs that are accustomed to the cages actually really like them. It's only their corner, comfortable and safe, so it is not surprising that they seek it themselves. In my house there is a cage for my retriever which incidentally has a slightly unusual purpose, it is an addition to the desk in the study. My dog is always there by his own will and likes to take a little nap there. To make cage a little more comfortable, you can buy pillows and put them on the bottom of the cage (or without much hassle make your own). Put blankets on them, those that can be washed, and when it is warmer, leave them blank.

Dog cages – Dummies recommend
Want to hear one more reason to buy a cage? During major disasters such as floods, earthquakes or severe storms, the cage can save the life of your pet, and it can help you in case you need to leave home. Cages in veterinary premises, for accommodation of the dogs in the vicinity of the endangered zone, are quickly filled, but there will always be place for your dog if you bring him in his cage.

Before you buy a cage think about what will you use it for. If you ever bring a dog on an airplane, you need to know that it can not be done with any cage. Some are designed for home schooling pups, while others for travel in the car. If you use a cage for training, as a bed, for travelling, or maybe for the litter, it is best to buy a good quality cage made of solid molded plastic.
The size of the cage must match the size of your dog. It must be so large that an adult dog can stand in it, turn around and lie down comfortably in it. The dog cage is a very important thing. So do not hesitate, but buy it. You can buy them over the ads. While I was voluntarily babysitting other people's dogs I had a dozen cages and creates, which were mostly used, and I purchased them at a much lower price than in a store.

Although cages have multiple purposes, they are not the only option for a permanent bed. Dogs that have their own bed get floors and carpets less dirty. Pillow makes the bed more comfortable for all dogs, especially for the elderly one or those who suffer from arthritis, and you have no remorse for not letting the dog on your bed.

Every dog needs a bed, even if it was an old blanket. Oval rolls stuffed with plush or artificial sheep skin that the dogs curl up in are often used, so are stuffed pillows. The most important thing when choosing a bed is to choose one that can be washed (or at least has a removable cover which can then be taken off and washed). If you do not regularly wash your dog mat (ideally once a week) you will surely have a problem with dog hair, odors and fleas.

I do not recommend carpet remnants because they are difficult to wash. They are not easy to keep clean or odor free, and are ideal for collecting fleas. Pillows and cages for dogs can be purchased at any good pet equipment shop. At dog shows, you can also find beds for the dogs. Often these are home-made beds that you will not find in stores, and you can get them at affordable prices.

Maltese height from the ground to the shoulder should be approximately the same length as the shoulder to the tail. His legs are short and fragile, little round feet, and the hair on the legs moderately densed. The head is medium sized, slightly rounded towards the top and is proportional to the rest of the body.

The ears have thick locks of long hair and his ears are placed low on the head. The eyes are round and have a black edge that makes them look friendly and approachable. His muzzle is medium sized and tapered toward the end. The nose should be black, but may fade and be brown or pink in the winter. It is called 'winter nose', because when exposed to the sun his nose turns black again.

Maltese is so lovable little dog that will surely attract glances all around him. It is very gentle and affectionate. This dog is sentimental, he returns the love that he receives and loves to cuddle. Maltee will want to be with you all the time and will require to go with you wherever you go. He likes to drive in cars and go for walks.

This interesting little dog is very lively, playful and funny. It is not even aware of how little it really is so it is fearless. It will bark to notify you when someone is in front of the door, but as soon as you let the person inside it will settle down and stop barking. Maltese love kids, but since they are very small, small children can hurt them because they think they have just discovered the best stuffed toy. For this reason, many breeders do not give the Maltese in houses where there are children younger than 7 years. Maltese socializes well with other dogs and pets.

Maltese almost doesn't shed, so it is recommended to those who want a dog, but have problems with allergies. However, his long hair should be regularly groomed – comb daily, occasional shampoo and wash it and dry it well after bathing. Excess hair around the ears should be removed regularly.

Red Irish Setter at first glance will conquer everyone with its elegant and attractive appearance. Favorite among all the setters. It is assumed that the breed originated by crossing spaniel, pointer and English setter. Although originally bred as hunting dog, they are becoming family dogs and dogs for shows. In the 19th century, when they appeared in Ireland, the proud, aristocratic dogs they were an excellent dog for the exhibition, so in time they were more and more bred for their beautiful appearance and beautiful hair, not for hunting.

Their head is long, slender and dry. Their eye are warm and precious. The ears are long and falling down, the neck is long and muscular. The whole body is muscular, nicely. The movement is very proud, free, and the head is held high. The hair is brown, and little white areas on chest and toes are permitted, although not desirable. The hair is short on the head, front of the legs and on back, but is long to the rear legs, chest, abdomen and tail.

This breed is energetic and diligent during the hunt and excellent to work in the water. In the 19th century, in the bird hunt Irish Setter froze when he felt the vicinity of the bird and showed to the hunter the direction in which the birds are.

They are very temperamental, active, persistent and playful dogs. They need plenty of exercise – every day should be filled with running. They are very gentle, benign, and enjoy the company of humans and other dogs. They can easily learn to co-exist with other species (e.g. cats, birds, etc.). Setters are very intelligent and learn quickly. They are suitable for living in an apartment because rarely lose their hair, but they should be brushed regularly. Show dogs should be given more attention by grooming more often. Their hair on ears, neck and hair between the toes needs to be cut.
They mature only after 2 or 3 years of age and reach their full beauty, but their soul still remains the one of playful puppies. In most cases, they live to a deep old age.

Unfortunately, from time to time, around the world, dogs are bred for fighting. This breed originates from Staffordshire Terrier crossed with other fighting dogs including the extinct fighting Bulldog.

At the sole mention of the breed hysteria comes in mind. This breed is banned in Sweden, in the UK must be neutered, muzzled and the identification microchip is mandatory. The breed is prohibited to enter North America. Pittbuls are more a victim of public pressure, then its historic breeding to fight with other dogs.

Certain unscrupulous owners, using his natural preference and strength, continued to abuse training techniques for creating combat pitt bull ready to attack any animal, even humans. Even so, when pitt bulls are trained from an early age to be submissive, it appears that most members of this breed can socialize and make a good company.
There is probably no breed that causes so much controversy as the pitt bull.

This dog is short-haired medium sized dog, with strong muscular build. Males weigh between 16 and 29 kg and females from 16 to 27 kg. Short, deep and wide skull with a strong jaw and big teeth. Body muscular, short and sharp lines with a broad and deep chest. Ears set wide apart, semi upright fall from the head. This is an athletic type of dog that has a lot of energy and needs a lot of physical activity so it does not become frustrated and destructive, which means that the owner must have enough free time to spend with the dog. They are usually in good health and live from 12 up to 16 years. This dog is rather quiet and rarely barks.

Poodles origin dates back to the ancient family of water dogs. South of Europe is recorded as a place of origin of this breed. Since middle ages the breed is spread throughout Europe. Standard medium sized poodle was used as a retriever, but also as a circus dog, therefore circus groups helped spread the breed. Small sized types of poodles were developed from the medium sized poodle, breeding and mixing with other breeds.

It is considered to be either Germany or Russia the actual country of origin of the breed, although France was most responsible for popularizing the breed, therefore poodle is now widely known as the national dog of France. In France, the poodle is known as 'caniche' – derived from the French word for duck. The name "poodle" is derived from the German word "Pudel" which means to splash in the water. Besides being used as a hunting breed of dog and as a water retriever, poodles are proved to be useful in war, circuses, and even as a dog to find truffles. Toy poodle was popular dog as the court at the time of Louis XVI.

Hair that does not let water to penetrate to the skin made swimming a little harder so the hunters cut the hair on poodles’ back legs.

Today the poodle is one of the most popular breeds in the world.

Poodles are of a very friendly nature, always eager to please its owner. Very intelligent and adaptable so they are easy and quick learners. This dog is loyal and active, enjoying games and likes to show various skills (with the ball, agility…).

There are 4 types of poodle: large sized, standard, miniature and toy, whose standards do not differ except in terms of height. Poodle is a compact and muscular dog breed, has distinctive proud posture and lively, unrestrained movement. The head is long and of distinct lines. The eyes are dark and almond-shaped, the ears are long, set on low and falling down his cheeks. Tail is usually docked, but it can be left in its natural length.

Characteristic of a poodle is, of course, their dense and woolly coat that does not shed, but is trimmed (in several ways and styles: Lion Clip, Modern Clip, English Saddle Clip). There are 2 types of hair – curly and twisted (something like dreadlocks, but this type of hair is much rarer). The coat can be of different colors: apricot, black, white, black, brown, but color should be uniform, without admixture of other colors.

The breed does not shed, but needs daily brushing (preferably with a metal brush) and a haircut every 6 weeks. The hair should be pulled out of his ears and ears should be cleaned regularly, because the breed is prone to ear infections. The coat is odorless, but the dog needs a bath once a month.

It is a lively dog, but does not require too long walks, all that is important that the walks are regular.
Poodle has a long lifetime, up to 15 years. They are of a social nature and they need human company.

Smaller poodle types, Toy and Miniature, should be given more attention because they are prone to jumping from furniture, and so they can hurt their feet.

Poodle is an ideal family pet due to its stable and friendly nature. Since they do not shed poodles are suitable for people who are allergic to dogs. This dog is adapted to live in an apartment, so it shouldn’t be kept outside on a chain. Proved to be a good watchdog – warns of the danger by barking. Poodle is kind with kids and other pets. However, if you have a miniature or toy poodle warn children to be gentle with the dog because they are very fragile so rough game could have unintended consequences for the dog. He needs the attention of people and company, therefore it must not be neglected because the poodle is very sensitive nature.
